Hey everyone, today I will be unboxing one of my favorite subscription boxes, my Birchbox. If you are unfamiliar with Birchbox, it is a beauty subscription box that comes every month with 5-6 deluxe samples in a beautiful box for just $10 a month. My favorite part about Birchbox is their fabulous rewards program. For every 10 points you earn, you receive $1 in store credit. The points are super easy to earn and build up super fast. As you’ll see, this month was incredibly disappointing.
So let’s get into it.
Here is what the outside of my box looks like. I really like this one because it is super simple but still really pretty.
The theme of this month is Customer Appreciation. They are celebrating their 7th birthday this month and they are celebrating the customers that make it happen.
Here is the overview of the products for the month. The goal of these items it to make my routine “easier, faster, and more fun”.
The first item I grabbed in my box is the Daily Concepts Your Facial Mini Scrubber. This is essentially a sponge to help cleanse your face. I’m not a huge fan of these types of items and unfortunately, this one was no exception. TBH I’m not thrilled with this.
Next, I received the Avene 3 in 1 Makeup Remover. I have received this before and I’m not too happy to be seeing it again. While this is useful for traveling, I’m honestly not thrilled that this is one of the items in my box. It is a decent makeup remover but it doesn’t do anything crazy.
The third item in my box is the 12 Benefits Instant Healthy Hair Treatment. This is a really interesting product. Because I am currently testing out the Kenra Haircare line, I haven’t actually gotten to try this. However, it smells amazing and looks like a great item to spray in my hair after a shower.
Next up is the Arrow Enhance Waterproof Eyeliner. The full-size product is a dual ended liner with a black eyeliner and a pink liner. This sample is for the pink liner which I have never used before.
As you can see in the swatch, the color is incredibly pigmented while still looking very natural. It is incredibly long-lasting and is definitely waterproof.
The last item is probably the most disappointing in the whole box. It is the Coola Organix BB+ Cream. I have tried many Coola products in the past and I have LOVED them. This one was a major exception. Not only was is WAYYYY to dark for me, but the texture was disgusting. When I tried to swatch it, it wouldn’t show up on camera. Part of the reason is that is has been watered down with the sunscreen. There is absolutely no coverage and it makes my skin feel super greasy and sticky. I’m really not a fan.
Overall, I’m pretty saddened by this box. There are only 2 items I actually like and I’m not even that excited about them. I have already updated my profile on Birchbox to try and alter the types of items that I receive in my box.
This has probably been the worst Birchbox I have ever received but I will still continue my subscription since I usually am so happy with my boxes.
