August Birchbox Unboxing

Hey everyone, today I will be unboxing one of my favorite subscription boxes, my Birchbox. Unfortunately, I was unable to get this post up during the actual month of August but it is here! If you are unfamiliar with Birchbox, it is a beauty subscription box that comes every month with 5-6 deluxe samples in a beautiful box for just $10 a month. My favorite part about Birchbox is their fabulous rewards program. For every 10 points you earn, you receive $1 in store credit. The points are super easy to earn and build up super fast. Join me by clicking here!

So let’s get into it.

Here is what the outside of my box looks like. This month had the perfect summer box. It totally reminds me of summer nights out here in California. I absolutely love the colors of this box and I can’t wait to find a use for it!

The theme for the month was “easy does it” and the box was full of products to help simplify my routine. IMG_0160

Here is an overview of what was inside my box!IMG_0161

The first item in my box is the R&CO High Dive Moisture + Shine Cream. I have received this brand many times in my Birchboxes but I had never tried this specific product. I love how it smells and how well it works. It is designed to help smooth out the hair and keep it manageable. I have serious issues with frizz, especially during the humid summer so this was incredibly beneficial for me. IMG_0162

The next item is the Han Skincare Cosmetics All Natural Lip and Cheek Tint in the shade Coral Hibiscus. I am not typically the kind of person to use lip or cheek tints because I already have a lot of red pigmentation on my skin. That being said, I did enjoy using this item. There isn’t any weird scent or flavor and it doesn’t leave my skin feeling sticky or weighed down. I really love the color and just how gentle the shade actually is. IMG_0163IMG_0164

As you can see from the swatch, it isn’t highly pigmented and just gives a really natural color to the skin. It blends really easily and isn’t streaky at all. IMG_0165

The next item in my box is the Ipkn Moist and Firm BB cream. I love wearing BB creams in the summer because they allow me to have a bit of coverage without weighing down my skin. This is one of the best ones that I’ve tried. It blends out really nicely and doesn’t have any strange scent. Plus, it has 45 SPF which is great for long days in the sun. IMG_0166

The next item in my box is another brand that I have received a few times in my previous Birchboxes, Oribe. This is the Gold Lust Dry Shampoo. I am the kind of person that uses dry shampoo multiple times per week. Not only is it great for limiting a number of days that I have to wash my hair but it also helps add volume to any hair style. This one is really lightweight yet still absorbs all of the oil in my hair. It smells great and keeps my hair looking voluminous and clean all day long. IMG_0167

The last item in my box is this Glam Glow ThirstyMud Hydrating Treatment. I have used this in the past and it is one of the best products for my dry skin. Like all Glam Glow products, it leaves your skin feeling soft, clean and refreshed. It smells amazing and rinses cleanly. It is great for my sensitive skin because it doesn’t have any harsh chemicals or scents. IMG_0168

Overall, I’m pretty happy with what I received. This isn’t the best box I’ve had but it is pretty good for $10.  I love the box itself and will still continue my subscription with Birchbox. If you want to join, click this linkIMG_0169
