June Birchbox Unboxing

Hey everyone, today I will be unboxing one of my favorite subscription boxes, my Birchbox. If you are unfamiliar with Birchbox, it is a beauty subscription box that comes every month with 5-6 deluxe samples in a beautiful box for just $10 a month. My favorite part about Birchbox is their fabulous rewards program. For every 10 points you earn, you receive $1 in store credit. The points are super easy to earn and build up super fast. Join me by clicking here!

This month, there were some issues with my box delivery and after emailing Birchbox customer service, I was informed that my personalized products were out of stock so they were forced to send me the generic box that would be sent out to new subscribers. That being said, I still loved most of the products.

So let’s get into it.

Here is what the outside of my box looks like. I can’t say I’m thrilled with this design just because I don’t think it is anything spectacular. However, it totally fits the theme of “Face the Day”. IMG_1899

Here is the card that explains the theme this month. The box is full of products to help you “face the day” and feel confident doing so. IMG_1900

Here is the overview of the items in my box:IMG_1901

The first item I saw is the Davines SU Hair and Body Wash. This is a 2-in-1 shampoo and body wash to be used after long exposure to the sun. It is perfect for summer because it cools down your skin while keeping it clean and refreshed for more hot days. It has a very fresh scent and didn’t break my sensitive skin out at all. IMG_1902

The next item I saw is the Davroe Hair Wellness Ends Repair Leave-in Treatment. This is essentially a leave-in conditioner that helps to repair your ends and keep them soft, strong and healthy. I love this type of product in the summer because it helps repair my hair from all of the chlorine and heat that it encounters. Plus, it smells sooooo good. IMG_1903

Next up is the Benefit Roller Lash Mascara. This is a mascara that I have been dying to try out because of the AHH-mazing reviews. From start to finish this is a show stopper. The packaging is adorable, the formula is amazing and the brush coats every single lash for maximum volume and length. This is a great mascara for the summer because it creates voluminous yet natural-looking lashes that are sure to keep you looking fly anywhere you go. IMG_1904IMG_1905

The next product I picked up is the Mellow Cosmetics Liquid Lip Paint in Tehran. I’m in love with this color because it looks amazing on any skintone and with any makeup look. During the warmer months, I love wearing pink and peach makeup looks so this lip paint is perfect! It applies super smoothly and doesn’t dry your lips out during the day.

Ellie Tip: Apply a lip balm or chapstick underneath to prevent smudging and dryness. IMG_1906IMG_1908

The last item in my box is a sample of the Murad Oil Control Mattifier. This is basically a mattifying cream that you apply to reduce shine and oil. I love using mattifying creams in the summer to keep my skin looking healthy yet smooth. This one is great because it applies evenly and can be worn under makeup. Plus, it has SPF 15!IMG_1909IMG_1910

Overall, I am extremely happy with my box this month and I absolutely recommend joining Birchbox.

So that concluded my Birchbox unboxing. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them in the comments below or on any of my social media accounts. If there is another subscription box you’d like me to try, send it to my in the comments or on social media!
