Summer Drugstore Makeup Tutorial

Hello! This summer has been especially humid and makeup has truly been a challenge. I have improved my techniques to create this look which I wear daily. Hope you enjoy!

Start off with a clean face and apply any regular moisturizer.

In order to prevent your makeup from coming off during the day, apply a primer.

I use E.L.F.’s mineral primer because it is light on the skin but glues makeup to the face.

Next, prime your eyelids with your favorite eyeshadow primer.

I use the E.L.F. Eyeshadow Primer because it comes in a light pink shade that is the perfect base.

After allowing your face primer to dry, apply a foundation.

I find using a liquid is best because it allows your face to breathe and usually has a decent SPF.

I us a combination of the Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation and the Almay CC cream (SPF 35!) and blend it in with a beauty blender.

TIP: Wetting the beauty blender prior to application will help keep the foundation even and smooth on your face.

Then apply your favorite bronzer to the nose and outside of your face.

I use the E.L.F. Healthy Glow Bronzer which has a subtle shimmer but creates a glowing, natural effect.

To add more color to your face, use a favorite blush.

I prefer the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Blends Sheer Highlighting Blush. Due to it’s mosaic design, it creates a natural, bright look.

Too locking in your makeup, use a light powder.

I use the Wet n Wild Coverall Pressed Powder because it stays on all day.

Start off with a light, beige shade, covering the lid. Then take a gold shimmer and line the crease. Blend with your finger or a blending brush

I use my E.L.F. Natural Palette

Line your eyes. If you plan on swimming, wear a waterproof liner.

I use my Light Blue Covergirl Eyeliner and my Navy Jade Eyeliner to line my tightline and waterline.

Apply your favorite Mascara.

I use the Maybelline Falsies Big Eyes Volume Express mascara.

Apply a Lipstain.

I use my Covergirl Outlast Lipstain because it stays on all day and comes in tons of colors.

Finally, apply a shimmering gloss.

My recent favorite has been the E.L.F. Shimmer Gloss because it is super light pink and tastes super sweet.

Hope you enjoyed this tutorial! As always, I love hearing feedback in the comments or at my email,!
